Hairy rascal's

Hair, hair, hair. It's the one of the things that NONE of us, and I mean NO-ONE can not have! Unless, you are bald like my grandpa, but then again he does have hair on his beard and arms. So, there you go. It is a unisex topic guys!

I'd love to do this to my hair (once I've finished my GCSE's because the teachers would slaughter me):

I love this ombre inspired hair because it's a gradual dye, with brunette as a natural colour for this anonymous fashionista. It's different to the 'dip dye' which is trending at the moment, because it's more natural. I love the fact that the blonde blends in with the brunette effectively. Also, besides the dye, I love this woman's style of hair. There doesn't look like much effort into the hair, as it is probably naturally wavy. So, overall, this hair is beautiful.

I also love this woman's hair, as it is a dip dye of exotic colour. From the above, you can tell that this woman has done the same in the ombre department, but then has dyed the ends of a baby pink/ on the verge of lavender colour. This dye is more of showing off your creative side, as well as you're style. I think this woman has used her lovely locks in a brilliant way but I do believe it's for the more out there women, so if you want a dip dye but don't want an exotic colour, i'd for the ombre style like this model:

My style icon's include people like Charlotte Free, The Olsens and various other random girls off tumblr! Here are some of the pictures I reckon will be sporting this season!

Me, myself&I

Hey guys! So, I have'nt been completely truthful to you all and as a bloger that is'nt a good thing. For all you know I could be a 91-year-old bearded man with a simmer-frame and 9 cats! But then again, have you ever heard of a 91-year-old using a laptop as regular as I? Well, I can let you in on a secret. Im not ANY of the above! I'm actually a fifteen-year-old student at a welsh school. I am not a stereotypical Welshwomen either, because I long to live somewhere exotic with wild flowers and lavish animals. So, I'm going to let you all in on my fashion sense. I don't believe on labelling myself, because it's not me. I like what I like and most of the time it's easy on the eye, not to lavish and not too simple. I am a surfer and a ballet dancer- the best of both worlds! I surf nearly every 2 months because let's say Welsh Waters aren't quite like Cornwall or Australia. Any who, here's my fashion!

I love these items, and I may not own half of these, but I plan on buying them when I win 'Million Pound Drop' ;) I won't explain most of them, as I believe a picture is worth a thousand words.

                                                                                Enjoy!xox

Look out Hollywood

With an average rating of 4.5 out of a possible 5, we know before we even order our popcorn and ticket that 'The Hunger Games' film will be incredible. So, as me and my best friend sat down to watch the film, we had prepared ourselves for gruesome scenes, distraught murderous ways and high-flying action. If you don't know what the Hunger Games are, then here's a little info.

"Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which "Tributes" must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she's ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love"- http://www.rottentomatoes.com

So, from the prolouge already, there is a sense of action and fun. I have to admit, i hadn't read the books (I know, im an idiot) but my friend had and she was in LOVE. When I did see it, I was in awe. The way the actors portrayed they're characters was amazing. As I recall, a young Isabelle Fuhrman played the murderous 'Clove' and she completely blew me AWAY. I remember her from her psycho days in the film 'Orphan' back in 2009. She has us jumping off our feet as a tribute from District 2 alongside her psychopathic partner Cato, played by Alexander Ludwig. Cato was the last person to die in the film and Clove came fourth.
Clove and Cato from District 2

But, ironically, it was a young 12-year-old girl that made the story. Her name was 'Rue' and she was portrayed by the young actress Amandla Stenberg. She was a fantastic tribute, who took a liking to the main character, Katniss Everdeen. Jennifer Lawrence was the actress behind Katniss, who was the tribute due to the fact that her younger sister, Primrose, was the first tribute. For this happening, Katniss volunteered- the first ever volunteer! Katniss had a way with a bow and arrow, playing her companion and protector during the games. Alongside Lawrence being the star, was Josh Hutcherson, who has starred in many films such as 'Bridge to Terabithia' in 2007 and played the role of 'Peeta'. Hutcherson and Lawrence portrayed a couple in 'love' which then became they're saviour in the end.

Personally, my rating of this film would be a 5/5 due to the fact it made me an emotional wreck but I also got the feeling of compassion for the characters, portrayed by these young actors. Watch out Hollywood, there's some new kids on the block- watch this space.

Note to self- read the books.

20's Icon- The lady, the legend.

Eighty-eight years old and thriving. Doris Day was at her prime when we weren't even alive. As a teenager, You would probably think "who is she?". Well, Doris Day was/still is a very important figure to American history. She started off as a dancer, until an horrific injury, and during this period she found out she has a voice (a voice that i will always desire but unfortunately i have a disease called "tone deaf"). She scored her first recording hit with "Sentimental Journey" releasing in 1945! She was an extremely popular radio vocalist and this led her to a career in film. She got a role in the film "Romance in the High Seas" totally by fluke due to Betty Hutton being pregnant! One of her biggest roles was with the very nostalgic man Frank Sinatra- lucky girl *cry*!

What I want to pinpoint is, Her unique style. Her glamorous old school style has influenced many fashionista's! Including the likes of Me.
This is a small picture of Doris and what she would have worn (as seen in the sepia image). The black leather skirt is a modern twist on her short mini leather skirts she wore. You would see the pleated leather skirt on a modern day Whitney Port and Kourtenay Kardashian.
Above, we see One of trio of the Kardashian sisters sporting the Doris Day leather skirt. Kourtenay teams up the skirt with a sparkly belt to emphasis her tiny frame and the right length to show off her to-die-for figure. Go Kourtenay!
Vogue worker and socialite Whitney Port teams the Doris Day inspired skirt with a pair of black brogues and Horizontal striped top to emphasis her killer pins and long legs. Both girls wear the skirt very well, living up to the Hollywood starlet, Doris Days, style.
As you can see, Doris Day is an icon to the young stars of today. Proving that no matter your age, or style of that decade, you will always be a legend

New Girl

Hello, this will be my first EVER post on this site!

First of all, I do not claim any that the actual Blog banner is my picture, but the picture has not been protected by copyright, so it's not copyright, right?

Okay, now that's all over and done with, I'm going to finally start!
April is a huge month for me, as it is my birthday month. So fifteen years ago around this time, my mum was craving apple pie and juice and getting regular kicks from me inside her belly... Lucky girl! She was debating on the name of 'me' as Chandler for a boy, or Rochelle for a girl- named after her dolls. Obviously, I obviously came out a girl, as you can see, and the first thing my mother did after she cradled me was 'Oh god, she's a ginger! Oh well, we can always dye it!'. Cheek! What's so wrong with being ginger, eh? 2% of the population are ginger! We are a rare commodity!

Any way, enough about that, and more about this blog that technology has wonderfully set up for me and thousands others! This blog contains the things I love, as a passionate ballerina living in Wales and also has a surf-goer who loves a good 5ft wave which I have to state is a very rare thing in Wales. The blog will also contain my 'Passion for Fashion' which, if you knew me, was a huge thing to me and my best friend Caitlin (who also has a blog, visit http://simplyfl0rals.blogspot.co.uk/). So, I bid you farewell my lovely viewers at home who are now yawning at my intro. Thank-you and I shall post you soon!
